Naruto Shippuden Episode 89: The Price of Power

The group returned home after Kakashi finished off Kakuzu. Meanwhile, Shikamaru swore that he will protect Kurenai’s child at Asuma’s grave. During a Shogi game with his father, he told Shikaku who the real “king” is which is the next generation that Konoha must protect. Tsunade, after studying Kakuzu’s corpse, told Kakashi not to let Naruto use his Rasen Shiriken once more because of the danger of completely destroying his chakra manipulation ability. Meanwhile, Orochimaru learned of Konoha’s victory against Akatsuki and sent Kabuto to meet with a woman named Guren.

Bleach Anime Episode 220: Ikkaku Falls! The Shinigami’s Crisis

With Madarame Ikkaku of the 11th Squad beaten by Barranggan, one of the four pillars broke and the barrier hiding the real Karakura town starts disintegrating, causing the real town to surface. Once more, Barrangan asked Ikkaku whether he’s still hiding his real powers but when he denies, the Fraccion prepares to finish him with a kick. However, Captain Komamura Sajin of the 7th Division Squad stopped Barrangan with a punch straight to the face. Iba managed to stop the barrier from disintegrating further with the help of black rods causing the same effect as the four pillars.

Barrangan released his zanpakutou by calling “Calderon: Pilot Whale” revealing his true form with huge size and attack powers. Iba took the weakened Ikkaku and fleed as Captain Komamura released his Bankai - Kokujou Tengen Myou-ou: Enlightened King Kokujou’s Heavenly Punishment, a heavily steel-armored giant warrior. Barrangan forced a cero attack while wrestling arm to arm with Komamura’s bankai but the armoured giant only forced it back to the Fraccion’s mouth and with a single swing of the giant’s sword, Barrangan was defeated.

Iba revealed how he know about Ikkaku’s Bankai but don’t have any plan to tell it to his captain. He questioned Ikkaku why he let the pillar he’s supposed to be protecting to be destroyed just so he could keep his pride and lectured him

“But you really need to think about this, Ikkaku. It was your job to protect the pillar but you let it get destroyed. And do you know why? Because you hid your powers.

“I don’t care if you die without ever using your full power but it better not come at the cost of failing your mission. Don’t hurt the entire squad because of your own pride! As long as you’re in the 13 Protection Squads, your orders are absolute!

“I don’t care if you’ve got to swallow your pride, you must execute your orders succesfully!

Captain Komamura Sajin seem to have heard their entire conversation but said that he seem to have something stuck in his ears.

Bleach Anime Episode 200: The Hardest Body!? Cut Down Nnoitra

Mayuri restored Nemu’s health and ordered him to clear away the rubble which concealed Szayel’s laboratory. Meanwhile, Kenpachi started to feel difficulty cutting through Nnoitra’s skin but he managed to stab Nnoitra through Nnoitra’s eyepatch. Nnoitra counterattacked and injured Kenpachi and revealed that the Shinigami stabbed him through his hollow hole.

Astro Boy Movie (2009)

Imagi Studios, under the direction of David Bowers, is creating a CGI Film Astro Boy which will be released on the silver screens coming October 23, 2009. The cast of voice actors include Freddie Highmore (as the voice of Astro Boy), Nicolas Cage and Kristen Bell. I am not very sure though if this digitally enhance remake of the original Manga and Anime flicks is something to make old fans jumping up for joy or will it only be a subject for ridicule should the plot or the CGI animation fail to resemble the original Astro Boy.

Kenpachi continued fighting Nnoitra, and although he is able to keep up with his attacks, he realizes that he is in danger of dying. He then resorted to using kendo, and severely injures Nnoitra with a two-handed strike. Kenpachi attempted to leave, but Nnoitra insisted that he finish their battle. Nnoitra recalled his time with Neliel, in which Neliel would frequently save him from his attempts to die in battle, and claimed that he is angered by any display of pity from his opponent. He chargeed Kenpachi, who landed the finishing blow.
